The mission of the Coffee County Probation Department is to serve the Citizens of Coffee County and to help ensure public safety by providing supervised probation to those individuals deemed appropriate by the Sessions and Circuit Courts of Coffee County.
Our department addresses such issues as domestic violence, drug and alcohol abuse, theft, sexual deviancy, and child abuse as well as other issues.
We provide individualized counseling and assessment for offenders convicted of misdemeanor crimes assigned to our department. This may include but is not limited to:
- Administering Drug Tests
- Alcohol and Drug Treatment (in-patient and out-patient programs)
- Community Service Work
- Domestic Violence Classes
- GED Classes
- Medical Services
- Mental Health Services
- Parenting Classes
- Veterans Services
Our goal is to have each client make positive changes while under our supervision and to complete their probation period successfully. We strive to help each offender accept responsibility for decisions they made leading to their arrest and to meet their obligations both financially and personally to the courts. We assist each client in making positive changes to better their future and be productive citizens of their community.
